Travis Diffenderfer is a relentless creative. He’s a writer, comedian, illustrator, and podcaster with a love for the strange and unusual. He grew up in Rural South Carolina where a horrific bee allergy kept him from exploring the outdoors. Desperate to stay entertained, he retreated into the world of story and the rest is a long and twisting road of unusual circumstances until he finally landed in Los Angeles.
He started a thirteen year course of allergy shots, learned to solve a Rubik’s Cube, got in trouble for drawing during ever class ever, turned down a scholarship to study music theory, turned a mass communications degree into a make-shift film study, dropped-out, did comedy in Charleston, joined the Coast Guard, did search and rescue stuff along the coast of California, finished his bachelor’s, launched the acclaimed podcast Dead Sirius: Memoirs of an Undead Loser, participated in the Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Project, started working at the Writer’s Guild Foundation, got accepted into CSUN’s screenwriting MFA Program, did some comedy shows around LA, and then wrote the bio for his website that you’re reading now. He's ready and armed with a stack full of screenplays, hoping to help create stories like the ones that taught him to keep moving forward when the world says to quit.
